Originally from the USA, Ruth Tidhar earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Bar Ilan University in 1986 and her Master's in Social Work from Yeshiva University in 1998.
After 12 years of working for a public welfare agency, helping young families and elderly citizens, Ruth began working for EFRAT in 2001. She was the organization's first professional social worker and soon became the Head of the Direct Support department. Her staff, including over 150 volunteers all over the country, she was the organization's first professional social worker and soon became the Head of the Direct Support department.
Ruth is passionate about helping women, and is grateful to have the privilege of changing lives every day. She is a loving mother of 6 and a doting grandmother to her many grandchildren.
